Book Review- What Can I Give

It is always an honour for a teacher to have a student who is eager and willing to spread the knowledge even after they are no longer around. And, for a man like APJ Abdul Kalam AKA the missile man and widely referred as the people's President, every student would love to sing praise of him, since he wished to be remembered as a teacher.

After receiving the book as a gift from Penguin Random House , I couldn’t help but flip through the pages of ‘'What Can I Give’' by Srijan Pal Singh, a devoted student who later became an adviser of Mr Kalam till his last days. A book beautifully written about the times he spent and the lesson he learnt from his teacher.
A well versed life experience and moments shared with him, filled with life lessons, memories and full of thoughts to ponder on even after one finishes the book. As I turned the pages, I noticed how a great teacher has the ability to change the life of a student even through daily activities and conversations or through simple examples and incidents. Valuing each lesson taught by the teacher and following each steps like a  good student, Srijan narrated the story in the most loyal and faithful manner. He is one lucky 'fellow' to have spent time with the country most loved teacher and President (I would use the word fellow here, since that's how Srijan was called by his teacher Mr APJ Abdual Kalam). Keeping his word to him, Srijan did write a book about Mr Kalam, just like a good student would do... which he was better known for.

'What Can I Give,' is an exceptional book written to immortalize a teachers love, an inspiration for students to value their guru and a lesson for readers to live life with love and  give respect to both big and small. Such a feeling of inspiration can only be felt for someone 'who knows the worth of teaching and who value the art of learning'.

This book touched my heart and now I am left wondering whether there is something I can do or if there is a change I can give to the nation as a responsible being?
Also, what can you give?

Reading in Quarantine- #Birthdaybloghop

Books are good company, in sad times and happy times, for books are people – people who have managed to stay alive by hiding between the covers of a book.” – E.B. White With the Coronavirus crisis and most of the nation quarantined inside the comfort of their homes, I can presume all the bookworms silently rejoicing, not that the world is coming to a standstill (that would be rude), but because of the reason that we will have all the possible time in the world to be reading and ticking off our TBR lists (Not precisely though). At least we thought we will have all the possible time in the world to read and read till our eyes are sore, but guess that remind yet another excuse of, ‘maybe, I will start reading tomorrow.' And, one would probably be asking, ‘why read? when we have other things to keep ourselves engaged. There are so many other things to do and catch up with- for instance, binge-watching book adapted series, attending zoom calls, video calling old friends to ch...
