Book Review : The Inheritors by Sonu Bhasin

Why did Harsh Mariwala leave his family business? What made the entire Dabur management to quit one day? How did Dhingra brothers turn a suffering business into India’s second largest paints company? This is a fascinating behind the scenes look into what goes behind brands like Marico, Dabar, Keventers, Berger Paints, Select Group, Max Group and many others. The book focuses on the culture, family politics, business rivalries between and within families, ego battles and a lot more. Plus there are the inheritors themselves who sometimes take the business to great heights and during others, lead to its doom. I agreed to review this book mainly for two reasons: 1. It talks about entrepreneurship and success 2. I am intrigued to learn/know anything related to business. About The Book:  The Inheritors by Sonu Bhasin is unlike any business book, it does not tell you ‘How to be successful?’ nor is it a guide to be an affluent businessman or woman, but it is a collection of stori

Fab Bag December 2017- Unboxing and Review

BLEND THE BEAUTY  This is a very late, late review and unboxing for Fab Bag December Edition. Apologies. As I was away for a short vacay and the parcel lay awaited at my place for long.  Okay, so without much ado. Here is the full, unveiling and review of what’s inside my December edition Fab Bag. Because better late than never. The theme for December 2017 fab bag was ‘Blend the Beauty’ and the  products curated was surely impressive.  All the content look new and fresh, unlike the last ones where the products seemed repeated. The bag for December month had 4 different colours, with a vintage-like design. I got the golden bag which I was eying for. FYI. It is pretty and you can carry it as a light pouch for your cellphones, keys, makeup etc. So... there are 5 products overall.       I will be starting with my fave one The SUGAR Blend The Rules Eyeshadow Quad in Skyfall (Full Size: Rs. 599/-) – I have been meaning to get my hand

I am saying this because lately I am being offered a lot of e-books to review, and to some, I have turned down, to few, I have accepted. And, today I will be reviewing one of which I received, I am talking about Glitter and Gloss by Vibha Batra , and I am glad to have said ‘Yes’ to review it. The blurb of the book had it all. About the Book: Glitter and Gloss published by Bloomsbury publication recounts the story of a sweet, chirpy, hyper girl named “Misha’ or ‘Mishkin’, a Makeup artist at MAC Cosmetics, who after series of mishaps, twists and turns meets Akshay Agarwal (a tall, good-looking chap) at a fashion show and falls in love with him, not only is he handsome and dashing (he was mistaken as one of the models), but he is rich and is the owner of a jewellery business based in Mumbai and Dubai.
